How Your Contribution Helps

We aim to provide essential support to over 500 struggling families by offering food supplies, groceries, and financial assistance.

The 17th Ramadan Charity Basket by SimplyIslam this year holds particular significance. Beyond aiding the less fortunate in Singapore, our groceries for the recipients are sourced exclusively from Gracious Mart, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pergas Holdings, which is the investment arm of the Singapore Islamic Scholars and Religious Teachers Association (PERGAS). Thus, we contribute to assist not only the underprivileged but also our invaluable Asatizah community in multiple ways.

Working closely with our esteemed partners, we provide support to Ramadan Charity Basket recipients from PERGAS, as well as constituencies we are collaborating with, like, Marine Parade CC/MAEC, Pasir Ris East Constituency, and Sembawang CC/MAEC. There are also 200 poor and needy recipients that SimplyIslam manages directly, some of whom receive financial support on a monthly basis throughout the whole year.

We seek your contribution to help us make Ramadan and Eid more joyous for these families in need.

Educational Support
A portion of the funds raised will be used to provide financial aid for students to aid their needs for Islamic education, technology and general educational needs. No one’s education should be impeded because of one’s financial condition, so we hope to provide some level of support to the needy ones. Islamic educational development has always been a key driver for SimplyIslam, and we believe that a good basis of religious knowledge will go a long way towards developing able, knowledgeable and empowered individuals that will continue to contribute to our shared communities in many ways in adulthood, Insha’Allah.

Our Partners

In 2024, we are delighted to announce our partnership with esteemed organisations such as Persatuan Ulama dan Guru-Guru Agama Islam (PERGAS), Marine Parade CC, Pasir Ris East Constituency and Sembawang CC. Together, we aim to provide much-needed relief to numerous Muslim families in Singapore.

In the past, we have worked alongside several other organisations, such as the Muslim Kidney Action Association (MKAC), New Life Stories, Singapore Benevolent & Community Services (SBCS), Roses of Peace Singapore and Tabung Amal Aidilfitri Trust Fund (TAA), and their recipients have already benefited from the Ramadan Charity Basket packages, Alhamdulillah.

Pergas (Persatuan Ulama dan Guru-Guru Agama Islam Singapura)
Pergas is a Singapore-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), dedicating itself in raising the quality of Islamic Education and Welfare of the Islamic Religious Teachers (Asatizah). The association was initiated by our senior reputable teachers (masyaikh), amongst many were the late Kiyai Hj Zoohri Mutamim, Ustaz Hj Daud Ali, Ustaz Hj Idris Ahmad, Tuan Guru Hj Said Ibrahim and Ustaz Hj Amin Muslim.

Marine Parade Community Club
The Marine Parade CC supports needy recipients living in Marine Parade, an area close to us and which we regularly extend support to. In collaboration with the Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC), the Marine Parade needy recipients will receive the food, goodies and financial aid from the Ramadan Charity Basket!

Pasir Ris East Constituency
Additionally, we will continue to extend our hand to help some needy residents residing in Pasir Ris East Constituency, specifically, the poor, needy and ailing residents of the rental flats along Pasir Ris Drive 3. They reside in this heavily subsidised rental flats as they cannot afford their own homes. Many of them are old, ailing and unable to work due to their age and health conditions. Your contributions will go a long way towards giving them a semblance of normalcy, and a brighter, happier Eid, Insha’Allah.

Sembawang CC
Recipients of the Ramadan Charity Basket are needy families with school-going children who have not received bursaries from MOE. Also, they are extending their help to Muslim seniors who are staying alone and those seniors who are facing physical and mental challenges. They are also supporting families under the welfare support scheme in the Sembawang Central constituency.
